While there is no cure for HPV, the good news is the infection often clears on its own. If it does not, and treatment is needed, there are many options. Plus, as more people are vaccinated with the new HPV vaccines, the rates of HPV infection may be greatly reduced.

The treatment given for genital warts is usually built to reduce the growth of the warts in the infected person and to possible partners. The most difficult side of the method should be stressed as the warts have a tendency to reappear.

When my biopsy showed cervical displasia, and my doctor recommended cryotherapy, I asked him if he was willing to work with alternative therapies.  He said there were none.  I told him that I would send him the literature!  As I walked out of his office without scheduling the surgery, he was telling me "You could die!"  I found another gyn who was willing to work with me, and told me to go ahead and try altrnatives to surgery for three months, and then come back for another PAP, and if positive, i could decide what to do then.  So I researched supplements and nutritional info., started taking Vit E, C and zinc, and medical qigong which is what they use in China.  Three months later, my PAP was fine.  It has been 10 years since, and all of my PAP tests have been fine since.  Now I eat better, and take care of myself better, and only get a PAP once a year.
