Hello,
I went to the dr because I recently noticed a finger like lump "down there, actually somewhat inside. She somewhat nonchalantly told me it was a wart from HPV and cut it off. She then treated about 4 other small ones with cryo. She then asked me if I had been having sex with anyone other than my husband and asked me twice saying it was confidential. She then asked me if I suspected my husband of cheating. Truth is, we've been married 18 years and this is the first time this happened. She hasnt seen any thing on previous pap tests but did say that if it was a very small wart she may have missed it. I have been itchy for years, usually shorly after sex and if I had bumps, I attributed them to razor burn and they would just go away. Is it likely Ive had this for a long time or moreso that my husband has been fooling around?
Also, more than anything else I am terrified that my daughter (8 years old) may have caught it from me by using the same bath puffy thing as me in the shower, and the same towel afer a shower. I told her before it wasnt good to share towels with anyone, even when I thought I was clean but she likes my blue puffy and I caught her using it more then once Most web sites I see claim that the virus cannot be transmitted this way but i believe that given the right moisture, conditions, the virus could survive on a towel. Rhinovirus survives on surfaces for quite some time)
Im afraifd to hug or kiss her even

My mom and I share the same soap and I put the soap on my pink puffy thing all the time. I've been doing this for months and nothing has happened to her. but then again I'm very careful on rubbing the soap all over just in case.I hope this help.

I just found out today but have not had any warts. I was totally dumbfounded. I have been married 22 years and my husband is disabled. That made it look like i was a bad person. I have been faithful'; she told me that the hpv virus i n men can stay dormant for years before manifesting itself. It could have happened many years ago. I am scared tho. It changes your whole life from this point on.

This will only change your whole life if you let it! There are great support groups and great treatments that people do not know about. Do not let this control your life, you can control it!
