If it hurts a lot, it would appear you are using too much ACV which will make the skin red and raw. Yes, ACV works... apply some petroleum jelly on the raw area for a few days and let it heal. Do not apply any more ACV until you heal.

Hi,
I'm a male living with warts. I've had one single wart for about 5 months now. After building up the strength to go the doctors they presribed me Aldara. I used it for 3 weeks without any results. I then started reading about the success with the Apple Cider Vinegar. I started this just last week. I am sitting here typing this with pretty much no wart left. I can certainly tell the healthy skin took a beating with using ACV, but if you ask me it's worth it. What I did was applied the ACV with a q-tip about 3 times a day for 15 minutes. It's not the best feeling in the world but I think I'm willing to deal with the pain if it means my warts will disappear. Anyways, not saying any of this other stuff helped but at the same time I spent some money on vitamins. In hopes of boosting my immune system I took, echinacea, grape seed extract, Vitamin C, L-lysine (for the skin). It could very well be that these added vitamins helped my immune system fight off the warts, but I really can't be sure. I also had another prescription of Aldara and I applied that on days that I didn't use the ACV. I do however think I would have had success without the Aldara. Keeping your immune system strong seems to be a very important thing based on what I've read. I'd say in addition to the ACV try buying supplements that boost your system. I cut back on drinking alcohol but I didn't eliminate it completely. But as we should know alcohol really lowers our immune systems. Anyways, I hope this info helps. I found it reassuring to read stories of the ACV working. Like many other people the HPV has had quite an effect on my life (confidence, dating, sex life), but if I can get rid of the embarrasing outward signs of it then great. At the same time, I think the best thing for us all to do our part in preventing the spread of it. Perhaps being in a monogamous relationship and being open and honest is a good start or even completely abstaining from sex. Anyways, I'll stop because this is too long, lol! Good luck |

ACV does work. Your skin taking a beating could have been the result of
using the Aldara and the ACV. That's a rough combo. Aldara itself is
known to make the skin look red and beefy. I was prescribed Aldara and
although it cleared the warts when I was using it (after 3 months), as
soon as I stopped the warts came back. The ACV and cimitedine (tagamet)
is what got rid of them for me.

anyway you should know that you can remove genital warts by surgery, freezing, laser, acid or cream
but genital warts can reappear again and again because genital warts
appears when your immune system is weak!
HPV is the virus that causes genital warts. People can be infected with HPV and never show any symptoms. Others will develop genital warts. These warts can stay the same size, grow, or go away on their own. It largely depends on the infected person's immune system. A healthy immune system means your body may be able to suppress the virus and not show symptoms. Even after the warts go away, the person will always remain infected with HPV. That person can spread the virus even without showing symptoms. so you must build up your immune system because your body can get rid of genital warts by itself if your immune system will be strong! so eat more healthy food, more vitamins and more sport activities! (No smoking, no beer/ale, no booze, no drugs, no junk food, no fast food garbage, no sugary sweet soda's. Get on a good, balanced, healthy diet including plenty of boiled or steamed vegetables. Drink P L E N T Y O F W A T E R , fruit juices & fat free milk. Snack on lots of RAW fruit & veggies. Get up one hour early every morning & take a BRISK 30 minute walk - then - do the same thing again in the evening after dinner. Make sure you eat a good, balanced breakfast daily. You get your energy for the day from your breakfast meal. Get 8 hours sleep each night. Flip your mattress over so it will level out to give you a good night's rest. Slack off too much coffee & tea) also you must use herbal treatment! in that case Wartrol is a good (probably the best) product that gets rid of genital warts comparatively fast and makes you feel more confident knowing that they wont reappear again! It works by stimulating your immune system to fight the HPV virus that causes the warts. of course it is better if you use full course (5 months - if I remember correctly). It worked and still works for me! I do not know if any pharmacies carry Wartrol but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product HERE good luck! When you want to use apple cider vinegar on genital warts, then method
you should follow is very simple: you just soak a Cotton ball in some
apple cider vinegar and tape it on the warts using a band aid. Leave
the cotton ball taped on the warts until the morning.
When applied on genital warts, apple cider vinegar (ACV) may cause a senstation of burning. If this burning keeps you from sleeping, then you may choose to apply the ACV for 30 to 40 minute periods three times a day instead of using it at bed time. You should stick with this treatment for a couple of days until the warts die and start to disappear. Normally, if the warts are not too big, you can expect to get rid of them in 7 to 10 days. |

You should NOT leave the ACV on the genital area over night... the skin in that area is too thin and the ACV will irritate it. 3 times a day, 15 minutes each time with a Q-Tip.

ACV is the only thing I have tried because I am broke, but I can say that it works! I had to take a few breaks for a day or two because it stung so bad, but eventually they went away. It stung mostly in the VERY SENSITIVE parts of my vagina, but it had to be done, because they were everywhere. I think it is a little easier if they are isolated so that you can put a bandaid over them, but waking up in a stinky pool of vinegar isnt fun either, so try not to soak the cotton ball too much, or it will drip everywhere.
I DO have to warn people about getting HPV in your mouth! It is VERY possible, I know this because I just had an outbreak. It is DEVASTATING!! I feel disgusting. ALSO, if you DO have oral warts, do not soak your mouth in vinegar. Turns out leaving apple cider vinegar in your mouth several times a day, actually severely burns the hell out of your tongue. layers of skin have peeled off and somehow my frenulum (the part that holds your tongue to the floor of your mouth) has tightened, and i can no longer moved it the way i could before. Sometimes it is hard to convince myself that HPV will not ruin my life... PLEASE PEOPLE, do NOT believe it when people tell you that Oral HPV is rare, I got it, and so can you!! The tissues of the mouth are squaemous cells, VERY similar to those of the genitals. I also got it from having oral sex with my boyfriend who has NOOOO signs of any symptoms. My immune system just sucks so he carries it, and I suffer the symptoms :( If anyone knows any home-remedies for oral HPV, I could REALLY use some help. I feel disgusting. This is 10 times worst than having them down there, you have no idea until you look at the bottom of your tongue and see the same "skin tags" you saw on your genitals... |

Stating oral warts are rare does not mean you can not be infected in your mouth. However, it is uncommon and rare. But uncommon and rare does not mean you can not get warts in the mouth. The take away is to be careful and be aware that warts in the mouth can happen. But it is not nearly as common as warts in the genital area.
