Hi guys,

I've been doing tons of research over the past 3 months due to a reoccurence of my genital warts and I've found very encouraging news regarding a therapeutic vaccine for those already with HPV infection.

Dr Ian Frazer is looking at a therapeutic vaccine based on his Gardasil vaccine which can actually help reduce/eliminate reoccurence of HPV lesions/wars/cancerous growths.

Here are the links:

I think helping the immune system recognise existing HPV infection which it doesn't do amazingly well in some individuals (like me) for those who are immunosuppressed.

I think this is really encouraging and within the next 1-3 years we're going to have some really good immuno treatment for this virus and possible even a cure for those already suffering from existing HPV infections both low-risk and high-risk.

I hope this news gives you all hope. Keep up the fight, we can beat this thing!

It will be sooner I think. At least within 5 years, they have already started human trials.

Hi Coolbeans,

Awesome 5 years is not a long time in the grand scheme of things.

Also for those who are single, you can at least tell people that a therapeutic vaccine is in the pipeline if you're on a date etc.

We're lucky enough to be in a time when these new vaccines and treatments are coming out. Just think if you had this thing 15-20 years ago!

I honestly believe this thing will be virtually curable in the next 10 years.

Have patience, faith and stay strong guys
